The White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou will postpone its complete renovation to early next year, to match local government's schedule of redeveloping Shamian Island, where the hotel is located.

The White Swan will keep the current room style and decrease the number of rooms after the renovation project of RMB 530 million (US$ 74.6 million).

During the renovation of its entire 43 story's and the parking lot, the hotel will suspend operations perhaps for as long as 10 months.
